Some Local Wildlife of Newfoundland and Labrador

The grade 4s at St. Patrick's Elementary have been researching local wildlife.  Almost without exception the animals listed below can be found in eastern Newfoundland and particularly along the Southern Shore.  (Although they are not found on the Southern Shore, black bears can be found just west of the Avalon Peninsula)  We have invited our class 4 pals at St. Mary's National School in Ballygunner, Co. Waterford, Ireland to compare our wildlife with theirs.  We are eager to know which animals we have in common.
